Terms of Service
These terms describe the baseline rules for schools and users accessing Meltem. Commercial order forms, pilot agreements or signed contracts can add or replace terms for a specific school.
Use of Meltem
Meltem is provided for water-sports school operations, including scheduling, student CRM, progression tracking, billing records, gear rental and reporting.
Schools are responsible for the accuracy, legality and permissions for the information they enter into Meltem, including student, instructor, payment and agency records.
Accounts and access
Each user must keep account credentials confidential and use only the access level assigned to them. Schools are responsible for inviting, removing and supervising their own admins, instructors and students.
Meltem may suspend access where needed to protect the service, other users, or data security.
School responsibilities
The school is responsible for obtaining required notices, consents and legal bases for processing student and instructor data. This includes health, age, billing or progression information where applicable.
The school must not use Meltem to store unlawful content, payment card numbers, government identifiers, medical records unrelated to lessons, or information it is not authorized to process.
Payments and records
Meltem records packages, payments, credits and balances for operational tracking. Unless a separate payment provider is integrated, Meltem is not itself a payment processor for card transactions.
Schools remain responsible for refunds, tax treatment, receipts, accounting exports and any mandatory financial retention requirements.
Availability and changes
Meltem is evolving and may change features, workflows and pricing. We aim to keep the service reliable, but no software service can be guaranteed to be uninterrupted or error-free.
Schools should keep appropriate operational backups and contingency plans for time-sensitive lesson scheduling.
Liability
Meltem is an operational tool and does not replace professional judgement, safety procedures, instructor certification, weather assessment, accounting advice or legal advice.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Meltem is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, goodwill or data.
Termination
A school may stop using Meltem and request export or deletion of its workspace data, subject to applicable legal retention duties and the terms of any signed agreement.
Meltem may terminate access for material breach, non-payment, security risk or unlawful use.
